Hazza Bin Zayed: Fully Confident in Two UAE Referees in the World Cup Russia 2018

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, hailed the selection of the two Emirati referees, Mohammed Abdullah Hassan and Mohammed Ahmed Yousif, as part of the referees team of World Cup Russia 2018.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed posted on his official account on Twitter on Monday: “The selection of UAE referees Mohammed Abdullah Hassan and Mohammed Ahmed Yousif, to be part of the referees team of 2018 World Cup in Russia, is a milestone of the UAE sport. We all are fully confident that they will hoist the name of the UAE high and will be the best ambassadors of the UAE football, as well as reflecting UAE’s level of professionalism in this filed.”

Noteworthy, FIFA did announce the selection of Match Referee Mohamed Abdullah Hassan along with the Assistant Referee Mohammed Ahmed Yousef.as part of the team of referees of the World Cup Russia 2018.

Match Referee Mohammed Abdullah is the second Emirati referee after the former Emirati referee Ali Bu Juseem to be selected to manage the matches the World Cup. Additionally, former assistant referees Issa Darwish and Saleh Marzouqi participated to run matches of the World Cup.
