I Am Done with the Rehabilitation Program and Fully Ready to Defend the Boss Badge

Al Ain FC has already finalized all the processes related to renewing the contract of Mohammed Abdul Rahman “Ajab” and renewed it until 2023.

On this occasion, Ajab stated: “It is my desire to end my career with Al Ain. To those who were suspicious that I will not remain with Al Ain squad I say that I did not think for a moment to leave my first “home” and never consider any offer I received in the past period because simple I am the son of the club that offered me abundant opportunities and I look forward to returning the favor to the Boss.”

Ajab availed the opportunity to extend his sincerest gratitude and deepest appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and the First Vice President of Honorary Board, for his generous and continuous support and his successful strategy that turned the club into a role model at the local and continental levels.

He added: “I would like also to thank H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Derie, Chairman of the Al Ain Club Investment Company, for his nonstop support he always extends to the players. Not to forget also to thank Mohammed Obeid “Hammad”, Supervisor of the First and Reserved Football Teams, and my brothers Matar Obeid Al Dhaheri “Al Sahbani”, Team Manager, and Issam Abdullah, Team Administrative Officer, for their support to me and my teammates.”

As for his recent injury, he stated: “Thanks Allah Almighty as I concluded my rehabilitation program and fully ready to play the coming matches and defend the logo of the Boss in the coming season.”

On reasons for the delay in announcing the renewal of his contract, he commented: “Actually, all details were settled and I already informed the management by my desire to renew my contract prior entering the last six months of my contract. There might be certain conditions but have nothing to do with my relationship with the club and extending my contract with the Boss.”

“I believe that the past season become part of the past. Though we ended as runners up of the champions of the FIFA Cub World Cup- UAE 2018, the fans’ aspirations are much higher than this and they only accept No. 1 position. We all look to compensating them in the coming seasons, given the new contracts concluded by the club to further enhance the strength of the Boss squad,” he responded to a question on his aspirations following the team’s poor performance in the past season.

He concluded his statement by saying: “We are required to win titles in each season and Al Ain’s fans accept only to clinch titles and be crowned with trophies of all competitions. Indeed, this motivate us to make them happy and add more achievements to this big lofty sport entity.”
