The Boss Performance in the Mondial Motivated Me to Take the Right Decision

The Togolese international striker of Al Ain FC, Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba, stated that he is so proud of being a member of the Boss squad which for him is one of the best clubs worldwide.

He added: “Definitely, I will do my best to contribute along with my quality and skillful teammates to achieve the sky-high goals of our big Club in the coming local and continental confrontations to add new more titles to the long historical list of championships.”

On the secret behind accepting the offer of Al Ain Club despite the several offers presented by European and African clubs, he said: “I have already stated that I consider Al Ain Club as one of the best clubs in the world and I took my decision to join Al Ain FC as this matches my goals. Al Ain is a big club in every sense of the word. This is proved on ground when the team qualified to the final match of the FIFA Clubs World Cup- UAE 2018 against Spain’s Real Madrid showing their genuine and honorable level of performance in front of the whole world.”

“I was highly motivated when I was watching Al Ain playing against Real Madrid. I was really impressed by the players’ style of performance and their quality skills. I know a lot about Al Ain’s history through a number of Africa’s stars and the recent player was the Ghanaian professional footballer, Asamoah Gyan. This is why I did not think about the financial gains as my aspirations are high and absolutely, I took the right decision,” he said.

In response to a question on his dream to play in Europe, he commented: “The dream of any professional player is to embrace the glory and participate in winning titles and achieve the collective and individual achievements and it is not a must to realize that in Europe only. UAE has achieved significant developments in the sports sector at all levels that certain European countries have never reached to them yet.” He stressed that he selected to be part of Al Ain squad from his bottom of his heart when he read more about the history of the club and the available facilities and capabilities. He also expressed his wishes of being able to be an added value to the team efforts and add significant achievements to the Club’s history and its future achievements.

Laba expressed his sincerest regards to H.E. Mohammed Bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of Al Ain Investment Company, for his keenness to finalize the deal and furnish all ground of success to conclude the contract. He also addressed his sincere thanks to H.E. Mohammed Obeid “Hammad” who exhibited his level of professionalism in managing the negotiations dossier during the past period.

He concluded his statement by expressing his wishes of success to his team and that he could meet the expectations of the Club nanomagnet and the loyal Ainawi fans and make them happy all the time.
