Al Ain Joins the Nation in Celebrating the Joy of the UAE Flag Day
In a national and honorable patriotic scene, Al Ain Club marked the UAE Flag Day at the Al Ain Square at the main entrance of the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. The ceremony was held in cooperation with the government entities and institutions located in Al Ain City, namely Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, the General Directorate of Customs, Human Resources Department, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company, Abu Dhabi Transportation and Control “TRANSCO”, Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center “TADWEER” and Al Qattara Real Estate.
Dr. Matar Rashid Al Darmaki, Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company, led the commemorative ceremony and raised the flag high at 11:00, and then joined the attendees to salute the flag while the band was playing the national anthem.
The ceremony was attended by the board members of the Al Ain Club companies, stars of the first football team, and employees of the club and government institutions and departments.
On this occasion, Dr. Matar Rashed Al Darmaki said that “Flag Day” is a notable national occasion that embodies the sincerest values of loyalty and belonging. It is the occasion in which we all express our genuine heartfelt feelings in the love of our homeland and to rally around our wise leadership in a top civilized scene demonstrating the principle of “Unified Home.”
“The flag is the symbol of an independent homeland and the sovereignty and superiority of the State,” Dr. Matar stated.
He concluded: “It is with all feelings of honor and pride that each Emirati and resident living in this blessed homeland is keen to observe this dearest national occasion, considering that it coincides with to celebrate the anniversary of the accession of the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
