Al Ain Squad Plays 3rd Friendly Match Against Italy’s Brescia Calcio

Upon completion of his away tour to identify the requirements of the team’s summer away training camp, Matar Obeid Al Sahbani, Manager of Al Ain First Football Team, confirmed that all the arrangements were completed and finalized concerning the camp scheduled to be held during 18 July-13 August in Austria. “All is on the right track and done as per the vision set by the new head coach, Croatia’s Ivan Leko, who reviewed the initial training program and made certain fundamental changes to certain items prior making his mind with regard to the friendly matches he is planning to play in the first and second phases,” he said.

In response to a question on the training program during the coming away camp, he said: “It is decided that the team will kick off the summer training camp by holding a home camp as of 6th July by carrying out medical checkups within 4 days and concludes by 10th July. The second phase of the local camp will continue until 16th July that will include training sessions. The head coach will give the players two days off prior flying to Austria to commence the away training camp which will start on 18th July.”

He added: “It is scheduled that Al Ain will play two friendly matches in the first phase on 21 July and 26 July against Slovenia’s Dravograd of the 2nd Division League and Slovenia’s Mora FC of the Premier League.”

“It was also decided to commence the second phase by playing against Italy’s Brescia Calcio of the 1st Division League on 5th August. The 4th match will be against FK Vardar FC of the Macedonian Premier League. As for the remaining two matches, the decision will be taken during the coming few days and they will be both against teams of the 1st Division league,” he said.

Commenting on the positive indicators of the new season following the exceptional contracts signed with star players, he said: “First of all I have to extend my sincere thanks as lovers of this lofty club rather than official staff to the great leadership of our lofty sports club, specifically to H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and the First Vice President of Honorary Board and Chairman of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, for the high patronage and generous support provided by Sheikh Hazza to make all members of the Club happy. It is indeed something make you proud and contribute to the making the name of the club shine wherever you go. During our recent to tour to take the necessary arrangements for the summer training camp, we found that Al Ain’s name and reputation is highly recognized and even hotels were competing to host the Boss delegation, the runners up of the FIFA Clubs World Cup. This cannot be achieved except through the dedicated support and Sheikh Hazza’s wise vision and the founder of the Boss’ success strategy.”

Al Sahbani added: “I would like to thank the architect of the Boss deals, H.E. Mohammed Bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of Al Ain Investment Company, who contributed significantly to make all the Club’s deals success stories. Also, not to forge the great efforts exerted by H.E. Mohammed Obeid “Hammad”, the General Supervisor of Al Ain Team. he spared no efforts to follow up the negotiations and conclude all the deals along with preparing the team for the new season.”

Al Sahbani went on to say that all the care and efforts exerted by the leadership of the Club are channeled to make the loyal fans happy. “However, it is the responsibility of all members of the Club and I mean the management, coaching teams, administrative staff and players and even the loyal fans must turn such significant care and support into achievements on the ground. This could be realized through positive and great achievements on the field. He concluded his statement by confirming that the team will spend the Eid Al Adha leave in Austria based on the dates of the training program adopted by the head coach of the team and following that the team will be back to resume their training sessions in UAE.
