The Croatian head coach of Al Ain First Football Team, Zoran Mamic, confirmed in the post-match press conference that his team’s performance was great, and players showed their quality skills that enabled them to deservedly win the home team. “However, there are certain minor annoying details that we need to fix, including wasting easy opportunities to score in the opponent’s net which if invested in the right manner we will score at least 10 goals. We still need more work on how to finish the attacks in the right way despite we focused a lot on this aspect during training sessions.”

Commenting on a question on the possibility of adding the name of Jamal Marouf to the team’s starting VI, given his significant performance in tonight’s match against Al Fujairah, he said: “The team’s list includes 26 players, and each of whom is an important part of the team and there are no such a starting lineup players in Al Ain team. I seek to make use of each player’s effort in the team’s big list in view of the numerous challenges we are facing this season.”

When asked about reasons for excluding Mohammed Abdul Rahman from the list of the UAE National Team, he said: “Absolutely it is not my decision to nominate players, but in my point of view I believe that he is one of the top two local players in the league along with Alin Mabkhoot.”

On the secret behind Al Ain’s interest in the Cup competition contrary to last season, he said: “We did not have enough number of players to take part in all last season’s competitions, and so we focused on the league and the President’s Cup. During the past season I used to give the young players the chance to play and I believe that they have gained a good experience. With the list of players we have, definitely we are now able to participate in all competitions and look forward to delivering the best performance and achieve strong results. Let’s see how far we will go in this competition.”
