“Our goal is clear and we look forward to keep going on the victories track. Our match against Al Fujairah will not be easy but all of us do understand what we are meant to do on Friday,” with this statement Zoran Mamic opened the pre-match press conference dedicated for his team’s match in matchweek 5 of the Arabian Gulf League between Al Ain and Al Fujairah scheduled to be held this Friday at Fujairah Stadium. He added that the home team will do their best to surprise the best club in the State following their recent loss against Al Sharjah and be in a better shape.

He also stated: “We were so keen to take the necessary measures to fix things and learned from the lessons of the off-colour performance we witnessed in the second half of our last match against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai of matchweek 4. I can assure you that my team is fully ready for this coming match of AGL’s matchweek 5.”

On the occasion of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed reception of Al Ain managing and technical staffs and players and others’ feeling jealous of the Boss’ record successes and achievements, he stated: “First of all, I am so happy for being a member of Al Ain one family and so proud of the historic moments we spent with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Chairman of Al Ain Club and Chairman of Al Ain Club Honorary Council and H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club. What is more than this! Indeed, this gave me as a coach along with the Boss squad the great motivation to win more titles and have the chance again to shake hands with their Highnesses Sheikhs of Abu Dhabi.”

He added: “As for the second part of the question, it is normal that big teams face such a situation considering that Al Ain has a crystal-clear strategy which always leads the club to crowning podiums and receive an immense support from its leadership, and not to forget that one of the major reasons of our success that we have great and massive support from our loyal Ainawi fans. Yes, such people, who we could classify as the enemies of success, try to put hurdles before the progress of the club. However, to take it positively this highlights our achievements.”

“Regardless of that, we are focusing on our work with the aim to keep going in clinching titles and achieving victories. Actually, I am always telling my players inside changing room that we are one family and we are to support and take care of each other. As any other family, sometimes we have some problems or disagreement in points of view, but we do not leave the room unless we sort out everything and whatever happens in that room stays there. This what differentiates Al Ain from other clubs.”

Commenting on statements made by Al Ain former player, Amoory, that Zoran Mamic insisted to keep him in the Boss squad, he said: “I have stated in different occasions that I have no comments on issues related to “Amoory”. He is a player of another club and not Al Ain Club any more. It is a fact that every one should know that I am the coach of Al Ain players only.”
