Bandar Al Ahbabi: Determined to Win the 2nd Leg Home Match
“Satisfied with the draw result against Esteghlal Tehran in round 2 first leg match held at Azadi Stadium,” Al Ain and UAE Football National Team player, Bandar Al Ahbabi, said following the end of round 2 match of ACL 2019. He stressed: “We are determined to win the second leg home match to stay within the competition circle and be able to win one of the two qualifying cards to the next stage.”
He added: “All the players become highly motivated when they defend the Boss logo on the competitions of the AFC Champions League as all competitors well aware of prestige and value of our club. This indeed boosts our confidence when facing any challenges.”
He further stated that during the match against Esteghlal Tehran they missed the efforts of many influential and key players of the team, but the starting line-up of the team were able to fill in gaps and make the difference significantly. “They were up to it and met all the expectations defending the logo of their dearest team. It is Al Ain as always and once absent players re-join the team, we will all show our genuine quality skills and compensate what we missed in the coming stage.”
