Croatia’s head coach of Al Ain FC, Željko Šobić, put an accent that all his team’s matches are equal in terms of importance regardless the team is playing against Al Wahda, Al Dhafra, Al Jazira or any other opponent. “Indeed, by the end of the day the players’ sights are always set on snatching the three points out of each match.”

In the press conference of the media ahead of Al Ain’s matchweek 15 of Arabian Gulf League against Al Dhafra scheduled to be held on Friday 15th February 2019, Šobić pointed out: “The Boss competing to clinch the title for the second time in a row and required to deal with each match separately. I watched Al Dhafra’s match against Al Sharjah in the previous round, and they did well overall. However, my team is well prepared for the coming match and ready to drive back home with three points in hands. We are all so determined to go on in our journey to keep the title in our closets and achieve the pre-set goals by the end of the current season.”

Commenting on the expected scenario he has set when playing against Al Dhafra, he said: “We have no option except to be ready for all possibilities associated with the coming match. Of course, there are positive indicators and other negative ones, but we must be fully ready to handle all conditions. So far, we are doing great and well prepared for the coming confrontation.”

“Definitely, we are only focusing on the team’s conditions given the fact that our destination is in our hands. All what we are focusing on is Friday’s confrontation against Al Dhafra and then we will consider the following match against Al Nasr and so on until the end of the season,” Šobić said in response to a question on whether the two points difference between Al Ain and Al Sharjah impose on any pressure on his team.

As for absences, he stated that the team will miss Bandar Al Ahbabi due to the red card he got in the recent match against Al Wahda, in addition to Ahmad Barman, Mohammed Khalfan and Salem Abdullah due to injury. He signed off: “However, I have full confidence in all my players who are ready for Friday’s match.”
