The Boss’ star Doumbia Hamed emphasized that his teammates did well in round 2 match of ACL 2019 against Esteghlal Tehran. He further explained: “We did show our fighting spirit and real desire to win the opponent in their field and among their fans. I believe the draw result is not bad and at least we snatched a dear point. Our focus in the coming stage is to achieve better results than the one we achieved in our match against Esteghlal Tehran.”
On his team’s chances to qualify to the last 16-teams stage, he said: “I have no doubt that we still have the chance to qualify considering that we drew in our second match. However, we are required to go on with showing such a fantastic fighting spirit in the coming matches to be able to snatch one of the two qualifying cards.”
“Indeed, it is not easy for me to be excluded from the Boss’ list of names in the local competitions,” he said in response to a question on his current status with Al Ain given that he played with the team in the FIFA Club World Cup- UAE 2018 but not listed in the team’s records to play in the local competitions while he is playing in ACL 2019. He added: “At any rate, I will always remain at the disposal of the club whenever and whatever. Despite the long break between the FIFA Club World Cup and ACL 2019, I am following a strict training program that goes well with my situation and the team’s requirements to achieve the required added value. I wish my team and colleagues all the best.”
