Al Ain Football Club has announced today that the Croatia’s head coach of Al Ain Reserved Team, Željko Šobić, and his assistant coaching team have been tasked to be in charge of training the first football team “temporarily,” after the amicable termination of Zoran’s contract. Šobić will be in charge of this position until the club finalizes the procedures of contracting with the new head coach in the next few days.

In the official announcement posted in its official website recently, Al Ain Football Club stated that the management and the former head coach have had the joint desire to stay as the head coach of the team, given that his contract is still valid until the end of the current season. However, the former head coach unexpectedly submitted his official request to release him from his duties justifying his sudden request that he needs to take a break as a result of the pressures he faces. Al Ain Club Management showed their understanding of the situation based on the significant mutual relationship between the two parties with sights set to build upon the successes achieved during the period he assumed his responsibilities as the head coach of the first team.

Al Ain Club further explained that the Club Management’s strategy is sound and crystal-clear in dealing with everyone who shows his desire to leave his position. “We do not have in our dictionary of dealing with our staff to force them to work or stay regardless his name or reputation in the world of football. It is Zoran’s decision to leave and nobody asked him to do so. He might have his own reasons to leave and did not want to disclose them and we appreciate his own privacy. There are people who has certain desires and decisions and insist to fulfill them, and it is nonsense to try to control them or exert any pressures to change their convictions.”

It was highlighted in the official press statement of Al Ain Football Club that “The Board of Directors of the Al Ain Football Company has been keen to meet with the former head coach and to talk to him more than once. He did identify the names he needs to be in the squad during the winter transfer window. Indeed, he submitted his technical reports and his recommendations regarding his requirements. In turn, the taskforce of Al Ain Club fulfilled all the requirements he requested. All news regarding the former head coach’s condition to renew the players’ contract to stay for longer period are invalid as all the players’ contracts are still valid until the end of the current season.”

Al Ain Football Club emphasized that there are several names of potential head coaches were shortlisted by the Professional Technical Committee and already submitted and discussed with the Board of Directors. “Despite the short notice, the Al Ain Club’s taskforce is always ready to handle all conditions and challenges and that the name of the new head coach will be announced soon.”

The Al Ain Football Company stresses that the success of the club’s system is attributed to the principle of integration of roles and the selection of the potential new head coach was done after a thorough and deep discussions based on the same considerations and standards that led the club to contract with Zoran. Al Ain Club Management has the full confidence in the team’s ability to go on the track of victories and achieving the pre-set goals, given the fact that Al Ain football squad has distinctive and quality players, enjoys a stimulating environment and supportive leadership and ideal great fans who furnish the team’s way with all grounds to succeed and to excel to embrace the glory.
