“I am always repeating that the results of football matches incorporate a real analysis of the teams’ performance in the pitch. Tonight, I do not know if I should express my pleasure or sorrow because of the result of the match. However, and according to my humble point of view the Boss deserved to win the three points of the match but we conceded the draw goal in the dying minutes of the match,” Juan Carlos stated in the press conference following the end of the matchweek 21 of AGL against Al Sharjah held at Khalid bin Mohamed Stadium in Al Sharjah.

He added: “I would like to take this opportunity to hail all my players’ efforts who did show their great and genuine fighting spirit. We must keep going with the same high level of fighting in the coming matches. For me, Jamal Marouf is doing well during the team’s matches and he deserves to be commended for all his sincere efforts.”

“Certain people felt that the starting line-up of Al Ain will not be up to the expectation for it missed many key players, but by the end of the first half they changed their mind and showed their thumbs up for their great performance and quality skills as they were able to achieve a great positive result. Personally, so proud of the team and their stunning performance and we have to say brave to them for their great fighting spirit and quality performance they exhibited.”

Commenting on a question whether the selection of the young players was adventurous, he said: “Our work as coaches involve taking risks and handling pressures. As I stated earlier and prior the match that the squad played tonight has a real warrior who look forward to doing their best to defend the logo of the Boss and their big Club.”
