Ivan Leko: Al Ain Clash Confrontation Against Al Nasr Is Critical and We All Know How Important It Is to Win the Guests

“The coming clash match against Al Nasr is highly important for us, given that the opponent is a quality team who has recently introduced themselves powerfully under the command of Croatia’s head coach, ‏Krunoslav Jurčić,” Ivan Leko opened the pre-match media conference dedicated for the matchweek 8 of the Arabian Gulf League between Al Ain and Al Nasr scheduled to be held on Wednesday 11th December 2019 at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium at 0830 p.m.

Leko went on to say that his team’s preparations went as planned following the return of all the squad’s international players. “Finally, we are all back together after a long time. the training sessions are conducted as planned, and the most important thing that we all know how important it is to win the upcoming match.”

As for his assessment of the competitor, Al Nasr, Ivan Leko stated that Al Nasr is one of the top strong teams in the Arabian Gulf League, considering the team’s positive results in the past matches with a clean sheet.

“Absolutely, the match will be tough. Al Nasr is a good team, and we played against them in the Arabian Gulf Cup, and it was an exciting match,” Ivan Leko said.

Leko also touched upon the issue of Al Ain’s absent players. He said that the team did not have the chance to play any match as of the beginning of the season with the full squad due to injuries that the players suffer from.

Meanwhile, he said that Meziane’s return would be an advantage as he is an essential key player in the team.

He concluded by saying: “I believe that when all the players are ready and fit, Al Ain would be the strongest team in the league.”
