Laba Heads to Comoros.. The Boss Resumes Pre-Match Training Session in Preparation for their Clash Match Against Al Jazira in AGC
The Boss squad resumed their training sessions ahead of their clash match against the home team, Al Jazira, in round 3 of the Arabian Gulf Cup (AGC). The game is scheduled to be held on Friday 7th September 2019 at 19:15 at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.
In this regard, Togo international player, Lapa Kodjo, has already flown to his homeland to join his country’s international squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifier match against Comoros on 6 and 10 September.
Al Ain squad will also miss the efforts of the “international” players who have joined the UAE National Football Team. The players have left to the Bahraini capital Manama to join their teammates in preparation to play against Malaysian National Football Team on 10 September in Kuala Lumpur as part of the first round of joint qualifying for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asian Cup as part of Group 7, including the teams of Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.
The Al Ain players who joined the UAE national team are Khaled Eisa, Mohammed Ali Shaker, Ahmed Barman, and Bandar Ahbabi.
Meanwhile, Falah Walid and Ali Eid have joined the UAE National Olympic Team recently. The team kicked off their away camp on 25 August and will last until 10 September. The camp is divided into two phases where the first phase will be held in Slovenia from 25 August until 4 September. The second phase is scheduled to be held in Croatia from 4 to 10 September 2019.
The away training camp is held as part of the national team’s preparations to participate in the finals of the Asian Cup U-23 in Thailand in January 2020 and to qualify in turn to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Noteworthy, the pre-match press conference dedicated for Al Ain’s match against Al Jazira is scheduled to take place at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday 5 September 2019 at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club in the presence of Croatian coach Ivan Leko and Al I defender Mohannad Al Enezi.
