Pedro Emmanuel: Fully Confident the Boss Squad Will Win Khorfakkan
“I can assure you that the Boss squad can snatch the three points of the match against the home team, Khorfakkan,” Portuguese Pedro Emanuel head coach of Al Ain FC stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated for the matchweek 13 of the Arabian Gulf League. The match is scheduled to be held on Thursday 23 January 2020.
Pedro also hailed the players’ genuine efforts they exerted during the past training sessions as part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming matches. “Our goal is crystal clear, i.e., to win the home team in the next league match.”
Responding to a question on his key players that he relies on them this upcoming game, he said: “We all focus on getting our team ready to show our best quality skills. We have to control the game and adopt through an intensive offensive style of playing to win the match and secure the three points.”
“As you know, the winter transfer window is still open, and our competitor has already had new players, and really we have no idea what their starting lineup will be,” said Pedro.
Commenting on the question of whether he sees this next match as a rehearsal for the team’s next game in the AFC Champions League 2020, he said: “Our match against Khorfakkan is the most important one for us. Winning it means we would improve our positing in the standing table. As for our match against the winner of Uzbek Bunyodkor FC against the Iraqi Al Zawraa Sports Club, this is a completely different competition, and once we are done with our match against Khorfakkan, we will kick off our training sessions in preparation for the next AFC Champions League match.”
