Sponsored by UAEFA.. UAE Professionals Association Organizes “Refereeing Workshop” at Al Ain Club
Attended by 80 members of Al Ain first and reserved teams, the UAE Professionals Association held the “Refereeing Workshop” under the sponsorship of the UAE Football Association on Monday 19th August 2019 at the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.
Fifty-eight players of the Al Ain first and reserved teams along with 22 members of the coaching and administrative teams attended the workshop moderated by Steve Bennett, Technical Director of Referees Committee- UAEFA.
Mr. Bennett hailed the participation and interaction of the attendees who were so keen to address essential questions reflecting their interest to gain as much information as they can and to achieve the desired goals of holding such workshops.
“It is so great to see this number in such workshops which is a sign of management’s interest to keep pace with the development indicators in all aspects, particularly issues related to refereeing and the new laws and regulations approved by FIFA,” Mr. Steve said.
He added: “The new FIFA regulations are of great importance and all players, coaching teams, administrative and medical staff should be aware of, especially goalkeepers. The new regulations include new-fangled tactical issues that each one should know how to handle during matches.”
