Stressed that His Squad Lost Two Points in Al Jazira Match.. Leko: We Are Heading to Bani Yas To Snatch the Match Three Points
Ivan Leko, head coach of Al Ain Football Team, stated that we did analyze the the team’s performance in the recent clash confrontation with the aim to further improve performance in the upcoming match.
“We do know our opponent in matchweek 7 of the Arabian Gulf League. They are well-organized team and have quality and skillful strikers,” he said.
Referring to the recent match against Al Jazira, Leko stated: “We are going to Bani Yas with the winning mentality to snatch the match three points.”
On his plan to play the coming match, he said: “Unfortunately, Mohammed Shaker was sent off the pitch few minutes after the kickoff whistle. We all watched the match video! We are sure now that he did not touch Al Jazira striker and did not deserve the red card. For us, we lost two important points last match and another three points of Al Sharjah match. We had two choices, either to take out a striker and play not to lose or to take the risk and let Bandar play as a defender and play to win. We have Saeed Jumaa and other quality players playing in the position of a defender and I trusted him, and he was up to the expectation.”
On the issue of paly making, he said: “In our match against Al Jazira, we played 10 against 11 players. Considering what we have seen in the match, I believe e do not have any problems especially we had more chances than the opponent.”
