Matar Obaid Al Dhaheri “Al Sahbani”, Director of Al Ain Football Team, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Boss’ stars for the excellent performance and the extraordinary fighting spirit shown by the team in their clash match against Esperance led them to achieve the positive result and qualify to the semi-final match of this big international tournament.

“Al Ain Club has always been representing the authentic concept of the one family and adopting the policy of integrated roles regardless of position the club members hold. Also, I would like also to praise the important role played by the club’s “legends” who were keen to attend the final training session prior meeting Esperance de Tunisia to boost their morale and motivate them to be up to the expectations.”

He added: “The fighting spirit the team shoed in the second half of the opening game against Team Willington of New Zealand and turn the table while they were down by three goals to be a historic victory, is one of the factors that gave everyone a strong motivation to keep going to achieve the desired aspirations. It is a fact now that the aspirations of the CAF Champs to qualify to the semi-final match ran into the determination of the AFC champions. Thank God we were to qualify to the next critical stage and play the semi-final match of the FIFA Club World Cup- UAE 2018.”

“Al Ain played that clash conformation adopting the weapons of realism, high concentration, commitment to technical instructions of the head coach. All players vowed to show their real fighting spirit of and not to commit any mistakes. The players’ determination to finish the match in their favour was clear in their faces expressions while in their changing room prior the kick-off of the match.”

Responding to a question on the secret behind the such an excellent performance of Al Ain in their match against ES Tunis, he said: “I do not agree with you! But we were confident that the game would require a high spirit and a constant fight. The coach built his plan not to leave any space for the opponent and it is certain that taking the lead in the first minute was a turning point and make it possible to win the match.”

Al Sahbani praised the important role of the UAE fans and the Ainawi Nation for being supporting the team throughout all the time. “We certainly look forward to seeing greater support and the fans do not need an invitation to play their role during the coming period. Each stage is more important and stronger than the previous one in such an important international tournament.”

On the team’s preparations for the coming match against Argentina’s River Plate, he said: “There are no significant changes to our regular program. The head coach has set up a program prior the competition and we are stick to it. Players returned to their residence after yesterday’s game. Today, they conducted their morning session and scheduled to conduct their final training session at 07:30 p.m. Monday prior the top important match against the Armenian team.”
