Drawing upon its commitment and keenness to promote the essential values of tolerance and concurrently with the UAE celebrations of the World Tolerance Day, Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club has planted the Ghaf tree in the Plaza Square located in the vicinity of the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

The event was attended by representatives from the Human Resources Authority, Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company, Abu Dhabi Transport and Control Company “TRANSCO”, Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center “TADWEER” and Al Qattara Real Estate Company.

Noteworthy, the Ghaf tree is one of the native national trees in the UAE and the symbol of steadfastness and survival in the desert. The national tree also represents a high cultural value in UAE because it is associated with its identity and heritage.

Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace, showed a significant interest in this tree, and issued his directives not to chop it off across all regions of the UAE.
