Al Hajeri Receives Al Merrikh Delegation and Hails High Ethics of the Sudanese Fans.. Quraish: Al Ain is the Best Asian Club and We Support the Aspirations of the “Whites” and the “Boss” in Asian Cup and FIFA Clubs World Cup

H.E. Mr. Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, received on 8th October 2018 at his office Mr. Mohammed Jaafar Quraish, Secretary General of Al Merrikh Club and Head of Delegation to UAE, in the presence of Mr. Haitham Al Rasheed, Director of Junior Sectors in Al Merrikh Club, and Engineer Ahmad Ali Mukhtar, Deputy Secretary General.

Mr. Quraish expressed his deepest appreciation and gratitude to Al Ain Club Management for hosting the training sessions of the club in Al Ain Club facilities and meeting all the players’ and coaching team’s requirements. He also hailed the support of the medical team of Al Ain Club in providing medical treatment to AL Merrikh players who enrolled the rehabilitation and medical treatment programs at Al Ain Club Clinic where they were received warmly and under the theme “Feel at Home”. He underlined: “Such an extraordinary are not unusual specially when it comes through the sons of Late Sheikh Zayed.”

By the end of the meeting, the Head of Al Merrikh delegation and the accompanying members presented H.E. Al Hajeri he club’s shield in addition to a number of souvenirs that reflect the genuine Sudanese heritage and folklore.

H.E. Al Hajeri availed the opportunity to stress that “The relationship between the UAE- Sudan clubs dates back decades ago.” He expressed his deepest pleasure to further enhance the great relationships with the Sudanese powerhouses, Al Hilal and Al Merrikh. He also hailed the great image that the Sudanese fans has reflected during the Sudanese El Clasico held in Abu Dhabi recently. “The creative initiatives and sincere and passionate emotions they exhibited transparently and spontaneously has reflected the authentic ethics of our beloved and honest people of Sudan and already conveyed messages of love and appreciation to the UAE and Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Al Hajeri also commended the affectionate scene of the fans chanting the national anthem of two brotherly countries which was a true reflection of the spirit of belonging, love and loyalty to the two countries.

Al Hajeri added: “We have a robust desire to further promote cooperation between Al Ain Club and the two powerhouses of the Sudanese football league. We look forward to concluding the twinning processes with the two clubs to develop and exchange experiences, enhance technical, managerial and marketing capabilities and improve communication between Al Ain and Al Hilal and Al Merrikh.”

In his turn, Mohammed Jaafar Quraish said that the “Sudan El Clasico” held between Al Hilal and Merrikh in Abu Dahbi recently was a great and wise decision taken by the senior officials of the two countries specially it coincided with the UAE’s celebrations with the Year of Zayed which is the dearest occasion. “There is never better occasion to hold such a derby in the capital of the UAE specially that the Sudanese availed the opportunity to express their love to the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan which contributed to the success of that great sport event.”

“We are well aware that Al Ain is one of the biggest and leading clubs in the Asian continent and is adopting the best administrative and technical practices in the field of football, in addition to the creative projects to improve the skills of the players through Al Ain school and academy,” he said. Mr. Quraish also stressed that such qualities promoted our desire to conclude the memorandum of understanding with the Boss of UAE football.

He added: “We are getting together today to officially confirm the standing of Al Merrikh Club and all the Sudanese football fans that we are supporting Al Ain Club in the FIFA Clubs World Cup- UAE 2018 as well as with the UAE National Football Team in Asia Cup- UAE 2019 scheduled to be hosted by UAE early 2019.” He signed off by saying: “We wish both teams all the best of success in their continental and international missions.”
