Our pre-match preparations are as usual and as the case for any official match. I met the players and emphasized to close the chapter of the past three victories and to focus on our Match against Kalba, Sergiy Rebrov stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated for matchweek 4 of ADNOC Pro League.
He pointed out that the expectations ceiling now is high and that he believes Kalba deserves more than points out of the past three matches compared to their performance. However, he insisted that Kalba is a strong team and that Al Ain players should play with high concentration and seriousness.
Commenting on winning the Coach of the Month Award granted by UAE PLC, he said: “I do not know to express my feelings. We only played two matches and won the award. Definitely, I am overwhelmed by the sincere support I receive from the Club’s management and loyal fans. It is my pleasure really to win any title or award with the Boss.”
As for the players expected not to play the coming match, he said that it is a recurring question, but “still we have 48 hours to go and hope that all of the players are in form including the international players. Some of them played the last match against Bani Yas despite being exhausted from long traveling hours. However, they know they are a valuable asset to the team.”
