The Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company expressed surprise at the unjustified timing of suspending the Togolese striker of Al Ain Team, Laba Kodjo, per a decision issued by the UAEFA Disciplinary Committee.

The decision is made ahead of the team’s semifinal match of the President’s Cup against Al Sharjah scheduled to be held on Tuesday 10th March 2020.

The Board of Directors stated that they actually received the decision following the end of the last training session of the team held at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, and just minutes after the team players left to Abu Dhabi to play the match at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Jazira Club.

The Board of Directors of Al Ain Club highlighted that the concerned departments are following up the issue professionally. “The team’s preparations for their clash match against Al Sharjah went per the program set up by the coaching team headed by Portuguese Pedro Emmanuel and that all the team players enjoy high morale. All the players are determined to achieve a positive result that definitely will make the loyal Boss’ fans happy and to qualify for the finale of the President’s Cup.”
