Douglas thanks fans, hails team performance in Dhafra game

Brazilian Striker Dyanfres Douglas has expressed thanks and appreciation to the fans of Al Ain for supporting the team and showing up in the stadium to support player in the game against Al Dhafra in the Cup tournament.

In press statements after the game, Douglas said my team did a great performance and scored seven goals, which is very important especially after our non-satisfying results in the first two games of the Cup tournament.

Commenting on why he cried after scoring the fourth goal, the striker said that his mother is suffering heart problems and she is currently in the intensive care unit.

“I wished that she would be present when I scored the fourth goal to be proud of me and to feel happy,” he said.

Douglas expressed thanks to HE Mohammed bin Thaaloob Al Dere’e, Chairman of the Board of Al Ain Investment Company, for calling him to check on the medical status of his mother.

He wished her speedy recovery and inquired about the whole situation, the thing the made me feel being accompanied by my family members in the club, he said.
