“I am happy and satisfied by my team’s performance and the result of the match against Al Wasl,” Pedro Emmanuel opened the post-match press conference of matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League.

He stated: “We started and ended the match perfectly. Indeed, this gives us the confidence we need to keep going with our strong results. I believe to take the lead by two goals following the kickoff whistle motivated the players to focus on snatching the three points of the match.”

“However, we committed the mistake to control parts of the match as when we lose the ball; we did not regain it at the right time. In the second half, we are back with balanced lines and repositioning of certain players, and finally, we could make it and finish the match by five goals with a clean sheet,” Pedro said.

Al Ain coach stressed that the Boss squad played collectively and offensively, and this is what the fans were looking forward to seeing.

“As of today, we are scheduled to play seven matches throughout this month. It is a normal situation for big clubs participating in several competitions. We are working on rounding back into form and creating the required balance in the lines of the team. The stars of the team spare no effort to show their genuine potentials in each match to defend the team’s badge,” Pedro commented on a question whether the team’s tight schedule would have any negative impact on the team’s preparations.

As for the posts on social media on the news to have a new international star defender on board, he said: “The Club’s management knows well what I do need to create the required balance. I know it is difficult to have a quality player like Islamkhan in the winter transfer market window.”

On the performance of Caio Canedo and his current condition, he said: “Caio is an important player in the team bust he is suffering from an injury in his muscle. His tonight’s performance does not reflect his genuine and actual performance. We have to support him to be back to normal in the upcoming matches.”
