Al Ain Reserved Team Trains Twice A Day in Preparation for the New Season

Under the supervision of Iraq head coach Fahd Ghazi, Al Ain Reserved Football Team resumed the preseason summer training camp in Abu Dhabi. Players conduct morning and evening training sessions at the indoor training fields attached to the Officers’ Club. Coach Fahd put in place the preset plans to boost up the players’ physical fitness.

Coach Fahd expressed his satisfaction with the camp’s general atmosphere and the high spirit of enthusiasm that players are exhibiting.

Commenting on promoting 12 new players from Al Ain Football Academy, he said: “The new lineup of the Reserved Team includes 12 new faces from the Al Ain Football Academy per the strategy of the Al Ain Football Club Company. Those players should be aware that they have to prove themselves and work hard to play for the Reserved Team and, at the same time, achieve their aspirations. This only could be achieved through commitment, discipline, and be professional to be considered for further promotion and be a player of the first football team.”

Responding to a question on the average playing time of the Reserved Team players with the first team during the past season, he said: “Statistics proved that Al Ain FC topped other counterpart clubs in granting opportunities for the Reserved Team players to play official matches with the first team. That was not an arbitrary process but in line with the Club’s plans, and we would continue in doing the same this upcoming season.”

As for transferring Ali Eid and Falah Walid on loan, he pointed out: “I believe that transferring both players on loan to Kalba and Khorfakkan is an important step in their career. They are talented and enjoy quality skills, and any football player must play more official matches in the Arabian Gulf League to refine his skills and possess the required experience, considering that it would be difficult for both of them to play in their positions with the first team. I wish them all the best of luck with their new teams.”
