So Keen to Take Advantage of Playing at Home and We do Miss the Boss’ Fans

“I expect a clash match against Al Jazira in the top match of round 12 of the Arabian Gulf League,” Pedro Emmanuel opened the pre-match press conference dedicated to his team’s match against Al Jazira scheduled to be held Thursday 31st December 2020 at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

He added: “The two teams’ matches are always so important, given that they are derby matches. However, we are aware that Al Jazira is performing well this season, and this is why they are jointly with Al Sharjah are holding the top spot of the standing table. This is what makes Thursday’s match an important challenge, and I prefer playing such matches.”

“Chances to win this coming match are 50% percent for both teams, and we have to be fully focused during the whole minutes of the match,” he said.

The Boss head coach confirmed that he set up a strategy that guarantees to win the guests while considering that Al Jazira Team has quality players who play good football. In the meantime, he stressed that his team has skillful and star players.

Pedro pointed out that Al Ain will try their best to take advantage of playing at home to snatch the match’s three points.

He also expressed his disappointment for not having the team’s twentieth player, i.e., the fans. “They are always there behind the team and help us in winning opponents. At any rate, we will spare no effort to win this coming derby match.”

As for the absent players, he expressed his pleasure that he sees the injured players back to the team and joining their teammates in the training sessions.

“As weeks go by, I become happier as many players rejoin the training sessions. Some of them have not played with the team for 15 up to 25 days, which a long period for a professional to be in harmony with the team’s style of playing. We have to be careful before deciding to allow them to play the next match,” Pedro said.

He stated that Al Ain Team always needs fully ready players and focuses on the best players to be included in the first eleven.

He indicated the team is missing a few players these days, and he considers this a good indicator of improvement.

He signed off by saying: “I have full confidence that Al Ain will perform well in the coming derby match, and it is an important match for everyone and specifically for us.”
