“We deserved to win the Derby and back home from Al Nahyan Stadium with three points in hands,” Sergiy Rebrov opened the post-match press conference of matchweek 19 of ADNOC Pro League against Al Wahda held on Friday, 10th March 2023.
Rebrov hailed the atmosphere of the derby match with full stands to support the Boss squad. He also commended the squad by saying it was good to take the lead when scoring early and then dominate the match.
“Indeed, it is difficult to play a match every three days, and I hope to continue with the same level of performance during the coming matches,” he said.
As for the secret behind the turning point in the team’s performance, he said: “Let us be realistic, the team played tough games against Al Sharjah Team and Shabab Al Ahli Team.
