Al Ain Togo’s striker Laba Kodjo stressed that his team’s preparations for matchweek 24 of the Arabian Gulf League are on the right track, and all is well so far.

“We know what we are meant to do in the two-day away match against Ittihad Kalba. We are heading to Kalba with sights set to win the home team and back to our fort with three pints in hands,” Laba said in the pre-match press conference held this evening.

He pointed out that Al Ain is a big team and has quality players. “Each player looks forward to completing this season in a good way.”

Commenting on a question on whether there is any challenge between him and his countryman Malaba, he said: “Actually, we have a close contact as one family as we are playing together for our national team. As for the coming match, each one of us wants to win and show his genuine fighting spirit to achieve his goals. I do not doubt that we will win the match’s three points.”
