Based on the Al Ain Club’s social responsibility, and in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, coinciding with the anniversary of the death of the Founding Leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan on 19th Ramadan, the stars of the Boss squad have participated this afternoon the official “partner” of Al Ain Club, First Abu Dhabi Bank, to launch an initiative to distribute Iftar meals for the needy families. The initiative has been launched in coordination with several charitable institutions in UAE.

First Abu Dhabi Bank, the official partner of Al Ain Club, works through the Iftar initiative to distribute nearly 400 meals daily to needy families during this holy month in various Emirates.

In this regard, Nivine Sbahieh, SVP & Head of Strategic Partnerships, Group Marketing and Communication at First Abu Dhabi Bank, confirmed that the Iftar Meals Initiative launched by First Abu Dhabi Bank during the holy month of Ramadan aims to distribute daily Iftar meals throughout UAE. She pointed out that the initiative is conducted in cooperation with official partners and several charitable institutions in UAE.

Nivine Sbahieh added: “We are honored today to be with our partner, Al Ain Club, in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, and in the presence of several Al Ain stars to participate in volunteer work, which is not an unusual thing for Al Ain Club.”

The Togolese “international” player Laba Kodjo, the striker of the Al Ain Football Team, expressed his pride in participating in this humanitarian work during the blessed month of Ramadan.

He stressed: “It is not a secret to tell you that I love Al Ain Club because it is simply not just a football club, but a comprehensive sports entity. It is all about the spirit of the one family that dominates the Club’s atmosphere, and everyone shows great interest in social initiatives.”

Laba emphasized that it is a reality he experiences in the UAE, where giving is highly supported.

“It is not unusual because t the Founding Leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was a lover of good and giving. Therefore, everyone here is ready to participate in charitable and humanitarian initiatives. I thank Al Ain Club and First Abu Dhabi Bank for allowing me to participate in this initiative,” Kodjo stated.

Al Ain player, Eisa Khalfan, said: “On 19th Ramadan every year, we used to participate in the humanitarian initiatives that UAE is witnessing in conjunction with the anniversary of the death of the Founding Leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to revive his life history and to be inspired by his pioneering experience in the field of giving, tolerance and striving to assist everyone in need, regardless of religion or race.”

He added: “All his good deeds made Zayed Al Khair a symbol of giving and benevolence and made UAE a role model in humanitarian work worldwide. Therefore, I am very proud and happy to participate in this humanitarian event,” he concluded.

For his part, Al Ain Team player, Erik Jorgens, expressed his pleasure and pride for participating in such volunteer work, stressing: “I felt great happiness and a sincere sense of pride for my contribution today in spreading joy on the faces of good people. I want to congratulate everyone on the remainder of the blessed month of Ramadan and wish success to everyone.”
