Paying Attribute to the Founding Father.. Al Ain Club Participates in “Zayed Sport Program” Event Held by Zayed House for Islamic Culture
Football Sector of Al Ain Club has participated in Zayed Sport Program organized by Zayed House for Islamic Culture as part of the events dedicated to for “Year of Zayed” with the participation of converters to Islam.
The event consists of three competitions within “Zayed Sport Program”, namely: football, basketball and tug-of-war game which held as a knockout tournament with the participation of four teams representing UAE University. Ayla Hotel Al Ain, City Season Hotel Al Ain and a team from Zayed House consists of converters to Islam and joined Dar Zayed for studying.
Team of Zayed House for Islamic Culture were crowned with the trophy of the football tournament following they won City Season Hotel Team in the final match by 5-1. In the basketball competition, UAE University Team won the title of the tournament following beating Zayed House for Islamic Culture by 64-60.
Abdullah Ali, Administrative Manager of Al Ain Football Academy, was so keen to present converters to Islam sport kits which comes within the framework of Al Ain Sports and Culture Club support of this segment of the society and based on the Club’s willingness to realize social responsibility and to exemplify joint cooperation between Zayed House and the Club with the aim to support categories of the society, particularly converters to Islam.
Dr. Nedal Al Tnaiji, Director General of the House, stated: “It is our pleasure to introduce activities that contribute and further promote the status of sports to become a daily style of life among all categories and segments of the society. We are so proud that our program holds the name of the founder of UAE who established the foundations and pillars of UAE sport through his genuine interest in this field in addition to establishing various sports clubs.” She Added: “Today, we, in Zayed House for Islamic Culture, are ambitious to integrate converters to Islam with the social and sport events in addition to the various activities organized by Zayed House and other institutions.”
At the end of the program, there were folklore shows in addition to honoring the winning teams, participants and sponsors who contributed to the success of the program.
