The Boss Arranges an Elegant Reception for the Coaching Team and Foreign and Resident Players

Laba Gets One Week Off, and Eric Joins the Team on Tuesday

Upon their arrival to the UAE on Sunday 12th July 2020, the Boss resident and foreign players, along with their head coach, Pedro Emmanuel, received a warm welcome at the airport in an expression of the genuine whole-hearted feelings for seeing them again.

Noteworthy, the coach and foreign players spent a relatively long vacation in their homelands due to the exceptional circumstances that led to the suspension of the sports activities as a result of the breakthrough of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Al Ain Football Club Company arranged for a proper reception at the airport, including presenting the arrivals elegant floral bouquets and sweets with greeting statements in four languages: Arabic, English, French and Portuguese. The personalized cards were designed with greetings comments in each player’s language, which profoundly impacted the Ainawi players traveling back to the UAE.

The facemasks did not hide the joy feelings the players and coaching team had for the magnificent reception arrangements that relived them from travel hardships.

Pedro Emmanuel commented upon his arrival at the airport: “I am back to my home.”

The French player, Idriss Mzaouiyani, received two greeting cards. The first was for his safe arrival in the UAE, and the second one wishing him all the best for getting married. He was accompanied by his countryman Omar Yassine and Brazil’s Jonatas De Santos.

The head coach also decided to give Togolese Laba Kodjo a one-week break, then he will join the team’s training sessions. Caio Canedo is scheduled to arrive in the UAE on Tuesday 14th July 2020. As for, Brazil’s Erik Menzies flight is rescheduled to arrive on 21st July due to inevitable flight circumstances. He will join the team’s training sessions before the kickoff of the first phase of the home training camp.
