Pedro: I have Nothing to Say After Such A Result
“I have nothing to say about the match after such a result which is a reflection of the actual conditions of the team,” Pedro Emmanuel stated in the post-match press conference of his team against Foolad Khuzestan held this evening.
He added: “We should play better considering the history of Al Ain, but Foolad Team had the incentives to win and qualify to the groups stage.”
Pedro stated that he is held accountable for losing the match by four goals. He also said that the opponent was better in set pieces and took the advantage of all the chances they got, and Al Ain conceded easy goals.
Responding to a question on he left the Saudi league as an excellent coach but did not achieve that much with the Al Ain, he said: “Al Ain is a big team. I am as before, and nothing changed. However, the conditions were difficult including the conditions in which the matches are held and the breakthrough of COVID-19.”
He concluded his statement saying: “I always seek to exhibit the fighting spirit as of the kickoff whistle until the end. Today’s match did not reflect the actual level of the team and there was not any reaction from the players after conceding the first goal. This led to conceding other three goals.”
