We Work Differently and So Keen to Keep the Fans Well Informed
We Seek to Serve the Best Interest of the Club, and We Have to Be Patient

Al Ain FC head coach Pedro Emmanuel expressed his pleasure for returning to UAE and resuming the incomplete work suspended in the past season due to the breakout of Coronavirus pandemic globally.

He stated: “Everyone here knows that we are experiencing different circumstances we did not use to have while preparing for the new season. However, we have to be patient when it comes to all the details on implementing the precautionary measures. These measures should be realized before, during, and after the training sessions to maintain the players’ health, coaching teams, administrative staff, and all members of the Club. This is the most important issue to enhance the confidence levels in all upcoming works.”

“We are highly committed to realizing all directives and instructions issued by the UAE healthcare entities, UAEFA, PLC, and Abu Dhabi Sports Council. This dictates to conduct all training sessions behind closed doors. We do look forward to conducting our duties properly until things back to normal soon. We have to stay healthy and ensure all the members’ safety,” Pedro added.

Pedro stated that it would not be an easy mission for the team. He emphasized: “We want to have the fans next to us all the time. Also, we desire to keep the media, who deserves respect for their interest and efforts, informed about our work, but we are required to abide by the health protocols.”

As for the training sessions, Pedro explained that the coaching team started training at the small groups level while maintaining spaces and distancing among players. He stressed that all these procedures are adopted to ensure the team members’ health and safety and that they desire to have the fans next to the team not only in matches but also in the training sessions.

The head coach went on to say: “It is important for us to do our job properly but differently this time. We are keen to keep all fans informed by providing them with the news through the Al Ain Club official website and social media platforms.”

As for renewing Brazil’s Rafael Antonio Pereira contract for the other two seasons based on a recommendation made by him, Pedro replied: “I believe that Pereira presented himself perfectly even though he played few matches in the past season. However, he still has chances to stay with the squad, and he is improving his level of skills as he is a young player with excellent charisma. All of these qualities help him to adapt to the team shortly. I believe that he is a valuable asset to the team, and I am sure he would be an important player very shortly.”

He concluded his statement by addressing a message to the Ainawi fans saying that “everyone knows that we are working hard to serve the best interest of the Club and make the fans happy. All fans know well how important to the team, and I am confident that they have a great desire to support the team. However, we have to be patient until the moment all doors are open and things back to normal.”
