Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the AFC, and HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Chairman of the Jordanian Football Association (JFA), attended the Group C match between Jordan and Syria held at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium on Thursday 10th January as part of the AFC Asian Cup- UAE 2019 ended by 2-0 in favor of Jordan National Team. They were received by H.E. Hamad Bin Nukhirat Al Ameri, Chairman of Al Ain Group.

The standings of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium were massed by the Jordanian and Syrian fans reflecting a great and eloquent scene of two Arab and brotherly countries. However, in view of the large number of fans who were not able to get tickets and following ensuring that there were enough spaces to accommodate them, the local organizing committee of Al Ain Group and in coordination with the AFC officials decided to open the doors of the stadium for the crowds. The wise decision avoided the fans to be victims of the monopolists who tried to book the seats ahead of time at the expense of other spectators. The idea was hailed by the officials of the AFC and both the Jordanian and Syrian Associations.

Noteworthy, the number of spectators exceeded the number of tickets sold which were 9,152. The total number of fans attended the match was 11,100. The number of fans reflected their sincere desire to attend the matches of the Asian Cup- UAE 2019 in a great and exceptional atmosphere given the facilities provided by Al Ain Group to make the tournament a success story.
