The Head Coach of Al Ain Team Ukraine’s Serhiy Rebrov, granted the team’s players a three-day break as of today. The Boss squad will be resuming their training sessions on Sunday 29th August 2021 at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium.

Ahmed Al Shamesi, Manager of Al Ain First Football Team, confirmed that the coaching teams under the command of Serhiy Rebrov has set up a detailed training program throughout the season, in line with the training “calendar”. The plan includes the FIFA days, short breaks and playing friendly matches.

Al Shamesi insisted that discipline is the most prominent theme and objective in team’s work, “this would make it possible to achieve the team’s desired goals of restoring the “Boss” their normal top position.”

He added: “Yesterday, Al Ain achieved the most important thing by keep going in winning opponents and snatching the three points out of each match. Among the most prominent gains indeed is the state of harmony and mutual understanding among all the team’s players during the first and second matches. They fully implement the coach’s style and philosophy of playing football. Surely, there is great work awaiting the team during the next stage. We all wish the Boss squad all the best.”

The Al Ain team manager said: “Ahmad Al Shamesi: Bandar Al Ahbabi, Ahmad Barman, Saeed Ahmad and Caio Canedo would join the UAE National Football Team in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.”

He also confirmed that two foreign players would join their national teams. Tunisian Yassin Meriah to play against Equatorial Guinea and Zambia, and Togo’s Laba Kodjo is to play against Senegal and Namibia. They would leave ahead of the FIFA days and fly back by 7th September to rejoin the team’s training sessions.

Ahmad Al Shamesi also said that the Head Coach of UAE Olympic Football Team, Spain’s Denis Silvia, selected Khalid Al Blooshi and Mohammed Abbas to join the team lineup. They would join the team Saturday evening in the home camp in Al Fujairah in preparation for the AFC U-23 Championship qualification scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan in 2022.

As for the injured players, Ahmad Al Shamesi confirmed that “Saeed Ahmad suffered from a minor bruise and he is to join the UAE National Team. He did his medical checkups and reports are reassuring. Additionally, Al Ain resident player, Serb’s Andrija Radovanovic, suffered from a knee injury during the team’s matchweek 1 against Khorfakkan. Medical reports confirmed the player needs 3 to 4 weeks of treatment to be in form to rejoin the team’s training sessions.
