The Boss Squad Will Play Three Friendly Matches Against European Teams On 14, 17, and 18 August 2022
Ahmed Al Shamesi, Manager of the Al Ain First Football Team, said that the pre-season training programs are going well and as planned.
He said: “All is going per the pre-set plans. We spent two weeks in which we held 28 daily training sessions in the morning and evening, including five friendly matches. The program also included special recovery programs for the players to release stress before and after training and matches in the pool, jacuzzi, and gym under the supervision of the medical staff and the physical trainer. As a result, I assure you that everyone feels satisfied with the team’s performance in the camp.”
Al Shamesi hailed the commitment and seriousness of the players, which stems from their sense of responsibility, especially in this critical stage ahead of commencing the new football season.
He pointed out: “Everyone is well aware that the away training camp is the time for hard work to reap the results of the beginning of the new season. We do wish all the players the best of luck and success.”
He commented on a question about the friendly matches: “The team played five friendly games, and all the desired gains were achieved. However, as you know, the results in the friendlies are not the basis for evaluating the team’s performance for the new season, given that the head coach is keen in every match to give the opportunity to 22 players. Indeed, the goal we aim to achieve by playing such thee matches is to spot mistakes and correct them.
He also pointed out the team is still to play the other three friendlies scheduled to be held on 14, 17, and 18 August 2022 against European teams marking the end of the away camp heading back to the homeland by 20 August.”
