Bandar Al Ahbabi Joins the Boss Training Camp in Spain

Team Dr.: Sultan Al Shamesi Joined Medical Program in the Camp Gym Hall

Yesterday evening, Al Ain international player Bandar Al Ahbabi joined the training camp in Spain following a short break granted to him by the head coach Serhiy Rebrov.

Al Ahbabi was warmly welcomed by his teammates and admin and coaching teams upon his arrival to the camp. He promptly joined the morning training session.

As for Sultan Al Shamesi, who was injured last week, Team Dr. commented that Sultan suffered from muscles rupture. “He is recovering significantly, and he is subject to physiotherapy treatment in addition to the appropriate physical exercises at the gym hall”.

Responding to a question on the expected time to rejoin the training sessions, he said: “The player is doing well in his customized medical treatment program. Following this stage, he will move to the physical training program that would enable him to back to the collective training sessions.”

“If we are going to rely only on the medical reports, the player might need a 2 to 6-week treatment program, but we do not adopt a specific time frame for the player’s recovery. We do our job and closely follow up the player’s condition and step by step till we feel he is fully ready to be back. The player might recover in a short time, or he might need more time than expected,” Dr. Alfredo explained.

He went on to say that all is well here despite the minor challenges, which are mainly the training load as “the players are training in the morning and evening.”

He said that the medical team follows up all the indicators that show the players sufferer from fatigue or feel uncomfortable. He emphasized that the team follows up the player’s conditions and involves them in recovery programs.

He signed off that everyone here is happy and all is well.
