“It is imperative to win the home team to keep going with the great results and strong matches with all due respect to Al Sharjah Team,” Al Ain defender Rafael Pereira stated in the pre-match press conference of matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League scheduled to be held on Saturday 8th January 2022 at Al Sharjah Stadium.

As for the secret behind Al Ain’s supremacy following granted the head coach’s confidence to rejoin the squad, he said: “There are no secrets as the spirit of the one family dominates the team, including the coaching teams, administrative staff, players, and fans who continuously motivate the stars of the squad to defend the team’s badge.”

He added that it is not a secret that the head coach has granted us the required confidence to exhibit the team’s genuine charisma. “He always stresses that we all have our badge on our chests, and this is the mentality based on which we handle all our matches.”

Al Ain’s defender pointed out that the players enjoy the “winning” mentality and “we all understand that defending Al Ain’s badge is a massive responsibility. The player who got the chance to rejoin the starting lineup is required to spare no effort to stay with the team as once he is not selected to join the starting lineup, it will be difficult to do it again.”

“We all work in the spirit of one team, and the admin staff along with the coach and my teammates and above all the fans encourage me to push myself to the limit and further improve my performance,” he said.

Rafael hailed the role of the fans by stressing that they enjoy an elite culture of ideal cheering up and raising the players’ morale via the stands and social media platforms.

He concluded his statement by saying: “Words of appreciation are not enough to hail our loyal fans. But, they are the main reason for boosting up the team’s strengths.”
