“Once again, and as I always state in media conferences, I highly focus on the recovery programs as part of the team’s preparations for any match. We also expect to see certain players coming back from injury and ready to join the squad,” Al Ain head coach Sergiy Rebrov stated in the pre-match press conference of matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League scheduled to be held on Saturday 8th January 2022 at Al Sharjah Stadium.

He added: “I believe that players after the thrilling victory over Al Wasl in the recent match of ADNOC Pro Cup by a great result 4-3, they have more confidence in themselves and they believe now that anything could happen in any game.”

Responding to a question on his assessment of the Al Sharjah Team’s performance, he commented: “I believe Al Sharjah Team is one of the teams playing quite intensively. They could come back to the match and score at any time in the net of their opponents. We have to be ready for such a condition. Additionally, Al Sharjah squad has enough time to recover and be ready for the coming match as they did not play matches compared to our team who played recently in the ADNOC Pro Cup.”

He went on to say: “However, we have already explained for the players all the strengths of the opponent who is classified as one of the top five teams of the league. These teams have nearly the same total points, and they definitely want to increase their points, but we are ready for the coming match starting with the changing room and be ready to handle all the issues happening on the pitch by focusing on the team’s performance.”

As for the expected player not to play the coming match, he pointed out: “We still have 48hrs ahead of the kickoff whistle and will see the players’ level of readiness.”

He signed off by saying: “As a matter of fact, we have players suffering from minor injuries as a result of playing recent matches. However, we hope that they all will be in form and ready for this important match.”
