During this holy month of Ramadan, the sports hall, attached to the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club, witnessed several family gatherings of Al Ain club legends from various sports, including football, volleyball, handball, basketball, and individual games.

Noteworthy, nearly About 200 former players were a significant presence in an exceptional gathering. The event was held under the theme “The Ainawi Home”.

Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, was keen to honor the legends, including players, admin officers, and even former employees who spent more than twenty years serving the Club.

The reception of the legends of Al Ain Club was distinguished, and the Club’s partner, “FLOWARD”, was keen to prepare and distribute elegant bouquets of beautiful roses on this wonderful occasion.

On the sidelines of the former players’ gathering in the “Al-Ainawi Home”, the sports hall witnessed holding a show match between the legends of Al Ain with Al Nahda Al Omani. The game ended with a favorable draw, 6-6. The former players recaptured wonderful football memories, and the “elegant” Shihab Ahmad managed to sign on a “hat-trick” against Al Nahda, while Mohammad Al Shibh scored a “super hat-trick” for the Omani team before his team won the match with a penalty shootout.

Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi affirmed Al Ain Club’s commitment to a clear vision and landmarks established by His Highness Sheikh Hazaa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Vice President of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, First Vice President of the Club, First Vice President of the Al Ainawi Honorary Council, Chairman of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club.

He stressed: “H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed is the founder of the success strategy and the corporate values of our Club that focuses on the family principle in dealing with all former and current Ainawi players, admin officers, coaches, fans, and every member of this big sports entity.”

The Chairman of the Al Ain Sports Games Company expressed his pleasure with the gathering of the former players, which is the first of its kind in UAE, as it includes the Club legends from various games, who have been keen to play their motivational role for all the players of the current teams.

“They spare no effort to embody the concept of generational communication and the values of love, loyalty, and belonging for the big sports Club. From their current position as legends, they contributed to several achievements through which the Club lined its name with letters of light in the sky of the Asian continent and world football. Indeed, every Ainawi has the right to be proud of them, especially since they have been affirming at every moment their readiness to serve their Club, everyone in his position with their experience, love, and devotion to this generous sports entity,” Al Kaabi stated.

He added: “We always look forward to holding such periodic meetings of the Club’s former players, admin officers, and fans to consolidate the principle of generational communication, and I do not miss here praising the efforts of the Al Ain Club Legends Office that it has been working impulsively during the past period to achieve the strategic goals, the Club’s vision and its institutional values.”

In his turn, Moataz Abdullah, the former Al Ain First Football Team goalkeeper, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Al Ain Club, the lofty entity, stressing: “The Ainawi Nation throughout the history of our Club is the source of the team’s strength, and their rallying around the “Boss” continued to contribute to enhancing the achievements year after year. As a result, the current team can make the fans happy and ascend the coronation podium at the end of this season.

Walid Salem, the “former” goalkeeper of Al Ain First Football Team, said that the creative initiatives that Al Ain Club has adopted inspire pride and enhance a sincere sense of comfort and happiness.

He concluded by saying that it is not unusual for Al Ain Club to launch such a creative initiative under the “Ainawi Home” theme.
