The workshop was organized by the Pro League of the United Arab Emirates<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Boss\u201d players were on complete attendance at the details of the integrity and anti-doping workshops<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The players of the first football team and U23 team were on complete attendance at the details of the sports integrity and anti-doping workshops, which were organized by the Pro League for the member clubs on annual basis. The workshops were also attended by the coaching, administrative, and medical staffs of the two teams, in line with the clubs licensing regulations which was issued by the Asian Football Confederation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The main workshop was officiated by Ghanem Ghawanmah, the director of the legal department at the Pro League, where he addressed the main topics which emphasize on the importance of raising awareness over the latest amendments to the regulations issued by FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation, as well as the local regulations.<\/span><\/span> The workshop focused on the risk of violating the regulations and laws, pointing out to the potential penalties which include the sporting, fiscal, and forensic aspects.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop also witnessed a lecture related to the anti-doping activities. The lecture was presented by Dr Bodor Al Shehi, a member at the board of directors of the anti-doping national agency. The lecture reviewed the roles of the anti-doping activities of the two national and international agencies, in addition to the list of restricted materials which is issued on annual basis by the international anti-doping agency.<\/span><\/span> The lecture also discussed the different types of doping, as well as their damages to the health and the society, in addition to their impact on the financial situation of the athletes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop also discussed some examples over the situation of some athletes who lost their future due to doping and clarified the notion of \u201csports exemption\u201d, which allows the use of restricted materials in exceptional therapeutic cases.<\/span><\/span> The workshop also emphasized on the importance of raising awareness over the nutritional supplements, where different studies pointed out that one out of four samples consisted of restricted materials.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop was concluded by explaining the procedures of doping checking, including the mechanism of taking samples and the steps that need to be followed, with emphasis on the stipulations that athletes need to be aware of during the doping control process.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
