The UAE Pro League’s auction for the historical jersey of Al Ain Club\u2019s shining star Kodjo Fo\u2011Doh Laba drew wide participation and was concluded with a record-breaking bid, as the Togolese footballer\u2019s jersey had been sold for one million AED.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It has been announced that Mohammed Bin Tha\u2019aloob Al Darei, who is the member of the board of directors of Al Ain Club, is the one who purchased the jersey in this exceptional auction, so he embodied his great support for Al Ain Club and its players, as well as his appreciation to the professional football career of Laba, who became Al Ain Club\u2019s historical top scorer in ADNOC Pro League football tournament.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative reflected a message of loyalty and support to Al Ain Club as a sporting entity and its players, embodying the great position that \u201cThe Boss\u201d is holding in the hearts of its members and leaders, as well as their keenness to fortify the team\u2019s career and rising its banner on the local and continental levels.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

His Excellency Mohammed Bin Tha\u2019aloob Al Darei said the following statement:<\/span><\/span> \u201cThe Boss is not only a football team, rather, it is a mounting sporting entity that symbolizes the feelings of affiliation, pride and loyalty, as well as a long history of accomplishments on the local and continental levels.<\/span><\/span> Kodjo Fo\u2011Doh Laba is one of the great names that cemented its position in the memory of the Ainawi nation, so this support is a message of gratitude and appreciation to every player who is wearing the badge of Al Ain Club and is fighting for the sake if its name.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Al Darei added the following statement:<\/span><\/span> \u201cWhat we are offering to the Boss is a duty that comes from our hearts towards this towering sporting entity, while every step we do represents an investment in a bright future that awaits Al Ain Club, with Allah\u2019s will.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In his turn, the Togolese forward player for Al Ain Club, Kodjo Fo\u2011Doh Laba, expressed his immense gratitude by saying the following statement:<\/span><\/span> \u201cFirst, I would like to extend my words of gratitude to the board of directors of Al Ain Club over their continuous support and their keenness to provide the best conditions for the team.<\/span><\/span> I also can never forget that His Excellency Mohammed Bin Tha\u2019aloob Al Darei was the one who played a pivotal role in selecting me and bringing me to the ranks of Al Ain Club in 2019. I will not be divulging a secret if I told you that I have been eager to know who had purchased the jersey with which I scored my historical Hat Trick in the net of Khor Fakkan Club and reached my personal goal number 125 and became the historical top scorer for Al Ain Club. Today I feel proud because it is now in the hands of someone with that magnitude and valuable position.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He went on by saying the following:<\/span><\/span> \u201cAl Ain Club gave me everything, where I realized my biggest sought after goals and I am ambitious to claim more accomplishments with this towering sporting entity.<\/span><\/span> I also wish to thank the Ainawi nation over their continuous support, as well as media outlets, which maintained their highly professional work in supporting the sporting ecosystem and improving the United Arab Emirates football.<\/span><\/span> I cannot forget to extend my words of gratitude to the UAE Pro League over professionally organizing the local football tournaments.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Togolese forward player for Al Ain Club concluded his remarks with the following statement:<\/span><\/span>\u201cThis event grants me a great push forward to keep up the brilliant performance, as well as exerting more efforts, so I can always be up to the expectations of the Club\u2019s administration and its fans.
