Al Ain to be supported by Emirati players, Hammad: Al Shamrani deal was not finalized after signing Yannick

H.E Mohamed Obeid ‘Hammad’, Board member of Al Ain FC Company and Supervisor of Al Ain’s First and Reserve Teams, said that the two-and-a-half year deal with the Ivorian striker Yannick Boli was based on the reports made by the coach and approved by Al Ain’s Professional Committee and Board.
Hoping the new recruit will make the desired addition to the team, Hammad confirmed “We’re intent on carrying on our good results to meet the Club’s objectives for this season and the fans’ aspirations as well. We’re also determined to carry on our victories and achievements thanks to the great support by Their Highnesses the Sheikhs and our strong-willed players and the notable support by our fans in all circumstances.”
Hammad commended the efforts made by the Brazilian predecessor Dyanfres wishing him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
He also pointed out that Al Ain plans to sign Emirati players during the winter transfer window in order to reinforce the right and left wing positions in the team.
Regarding Al Ain’s intention to sign Nasser Al Shamrani from Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia as recently reported by the media, Hammad thanked Al Hilal management for their professional and exquisite response to Al Ain’s demand; “They thankfully agreed to offer Nasser to us on loan, but we apologized after finalizing the deal with Yannick who will take the same position of Nasser,” he explained.
He also confirmed that Al Ain’s Colombian Asprilla will stay in the team till the end of winter transfer window unless the technical staffs opined otherwise; “However, Asprilla and others will get all support from everyone as long as they’re playing for Al Ain.” He concluded.
