Zlatko looks forward to further wins in AGL

Croatian coach Zlatko Dalić, expressed his extreme happiness to be the only coach who was contracted with the club for that longest, and wishing to stay with “The Boss” for the longest period possible.

Speaking at a press conference before his squad meets Dibba, Zlatko clarify that the negative comments can’t provoke him because he always keeps a positive attitude and that nothing can hold him back from going on to achieve good results with his team.  He also thanked Al Ain FC management for supporting him and giving him the opportunity to coach the team. “The successes made so far can’t be credited to me alone; everyone stand behind these achievements. Al Ain FC is one family and I’m proud to be a member of that. Whether I stay or quit, Al Ain FC will always be on my mind, because I made a name for myself here,” he added.

About Dibba’s game, Zlatko reiterated his attitude of respecting the aspirations of all rivals but without forgoing his intention to add another win to add to the team’s three-game winning streak. “We have to focus on this game because Dibba has a powerful striking line and they will use their powerful defense to keep us back. Besides, like all other teams, they dream of winning, but we’re confident enough to cripple their plan,” he confirmed.

Unfortunately three of his team members will miss Dibba’s game; as Caio Lucas was shown a red card in Al Nasr’s game, while the defender Mohamed Fayez and the keeper Khalid Issa suffer from injuries. “We have to win despite these absences, we need to work harder. Personally, I trust the capabilities of all my players and our substitute keeper Mohamed Busenda who played well last time against Al Nasr,” he added.

Answering into how difficult it would be for his team to win over Dibba if they hold on to a defensive stance, Zlatko said that his team has the experience of press for a win over the teams who close the spaces in front of them; “We’ll try to pile pressure from deep positions and down the flanks; besides, we need to show patience throughout the game. I don’t think it will be an exciting game. However, a 1-0 win is enough to award us three points.” He concluded.
