Zlatko underlines attentiveness and fighting spirit to take down Emirates

Talking to the media ahead of his squad’s game versus Emirates today night, Al Ain’s Croatian Coach Zlatko Dalić describes the encounter with Emirates at the AGL competition as a ‘considerable challenge’ as his men have to play a match every four days and many of them are absent either for injuries or suspension penalty.

“Regardless of these challenges, we’re going through; nothing will deter us from achieving our objective of returning with the full three points from Ras Al Khaimah. We know this won’t be easy but we are determined to compete for the AGL title,” he said.

Zlatko said that his lineup versus Emirates will miss Mohamed Fayez, Fawzi Fayez, Saeed Mosabeh and Mohamed Ahmed, who are all expected to rejoin by the end of the current season; at the same time, Omar Abdurrahman and the Colombian striker Danilo Asprilla will also be missed for suspension.

“Given these challenges, we have to stay focused throughout the whole 90 minutes and show fighting spirit, determination and seriousness to win. In a word, we must play our best,” he added.

He concluded with a reading of his rivals; “Given their strife to remain in the AGL competitions, Emirates will adopt a defensive play style and wait for our mistakes to take advantage of just like Baniyas did in the last round.”
