Al Ain’s international professional Japan’s Tsukasa Shiotani emphasized that the general atmosphere in Al Ain’s away preseason training camp give a good cause for optimism. He pointed out: “Everyone here works hard with high level of seriousness to get the best results out of training sessions and to accomplish the intended changes and benefits of the most important stages of the new football season, that is the away training camp.” He also stated: “We look forward to greater achievements than we have achieved last season and we are all here so determined to delight our fans by our stunning results in the season that coincides with the Club’s Golden Jubilee.”

On the performance of his teammates in the two matches they played against ES Sétif, he commented: “I believe that Al Ain’s performance was remarkable in the two matches compared to the short preparation period and their opponent’s level of readiness which far high than Al Ain as they have kicked off their season long ago. However, from my personal point of view I consider the two big matches we played as part the championship as part of our preseason program regardless of the results and we lost the chance to qualify.”

He went on to say: “Our next short-term goal is to win the Super Cup! We are all understand what we are meant to do in our coming match against the runners up of the last season of the league competition. This will be our first titles in the coming new season and I hope we will be successful in our mission.”

Commenting on a question on the special preparations for the coming FIFA Club World Cup, he said: “When it comes to me, I played in the competitions of the FIFA Club World Cup twice, in 2013 and 2015 with my former club Hiroshima. In 2015, I scored two goals against New Zealand’s Auckland City FC and Congo’s Mazembe FC. I am looking forward to scoring my third and fourth goals in 2018 with Al Ain and reach the furthest level in this competition.”

“I spent whole the summer off time with my family and friends in Japan in the cities of Tokyo, Okinawa, Osaka and Hiroshima,” said he in response to a question on his summer recess. He added: “I did enjoy the greatest time there, especially this is the first time I am away from my hometown for whole one year. I rejoined my team with high morale because I missed the challenges spirit I have been experiencing here during training sessions and matches.”

“Also, I was so pleased with the level of my former teammate, Brazil’s Dyanfres Douglas, in Japan’s league. He scored two goals during his first two matches. He is a good player, a fighter and he wishes all the best to his former Ainawi stars. I was happy to have him back and wish him all the best and success,” said he.

“As I said, we look forward to better achievements than last season at the club level. I look forward to returning to the Japanese squad this season and I hope that I will succeed in winning all the challenges,” he said.

As for the prominent challenges awaiting the team in the coming new season, he stated: “As I have already stated, we all are looking to achieve better results than of the past season. Also, I wish I could be back to Japan’s National Football Team this current season and hope I win all the challenges ahead of us.”

Shiotani concluded his statement by wishing the Ainawi fans of the Global “Boss” all the best, “Al Ain fans will also face lots of challenges as they the fans who will be attending more matches than any other club this coming season compared to the number and volume of championships and tournaments that their team is playing in.” He finally said: “Fully confident they will never leave us walk alone and be behind us supporting us ideally as usual.”
