Al Ain Loses to KSA’s Ettifaq 2-0

Al Ain lost 2-0 to Al Ettifaq FC in the friendly match held on 4th August 2019 the Grenia Radjna stadium in Slovenia.

The match was held as part of the team’s preseason away camp.

The first half ended in a goalless draw. In the second half, the Brazilian forward Rogerio Coutino scored his team’s first goal at “65” and the Slovakian Philippe Case sealed the win from the penalty point in the dying minutes of the match.

Board Members of Al Ain Football Club Company, Salem Mohammed Al Junaibi and Matar Ghumran Al Dhaheri, attended the match.

Al Ain Starting Lineup

As usual, Ivan Leko gave the opportunity to participate in this friendly match with a total number of 22 players. His starting lineu for the first half included: Khaled Eisa, Mohammed Fayez, Tsukasa Shiotani, Mohammed Ali Shaker, Saeed Jumaa, Falah Waleed, Ahmed Barman, Mohsen Abdullah, Abdul Rahman Meziane, Caio Canedo and Laba Kodjoe. He replaced the whole squad in the second half at the 60 minute. The ew lineup included: Hamad Al Mansouri, Ali Haizani, Ismail Ahmed, Mohannad Salem Al Enezi, Khoy, Yahiya Nader, Mohammed Hilal, Mohammed Khalfan, Nani, Khalid Al Bloushi and Jamal Marouf.

Al Ettifaq Lineup

Al Ettifaq head coach Khalid Al Atwi started the match with a line-up consisting of: Hamed Abdullah Al Ghamdi, Saad Saeed Al Khaidi, Saad Al Yami, Mohammed Ahmed Al Hiti, Ali Fouad Hassan, Amjad Abdullah Al Najrani, Ali Abdullah Hazazi, Saleh Mohammed Al Joman, Cedric Yambri, Rogerio Coutino and Philip Case.

Referees

The match was managed by a Slovenian referees team. Sinon Glilik “Match Referee”, assisted by Stasa Spvar “First Assistant” and Kaja Kasar, “Second Assistant”.

Zoran in the Boss Camp

On the other hand, Zoran Mamic, the former head coach of Al Ain FC, accompanied by his assistant Kirk were keen to visit the team’s camp and to meet all members of the Ainawi staff and coaching teams prior the kickoff of the friendly match against Al Ettifaq.

Zoran expressed his sincere wishes for the team to succeed and achieve their goals in the new season.
