Essam Abdullah, Al Ain FC Administrative Officer, hailed the heroic performance of the champs of the team who did well in their away match against Esteghlal Tehran at Azadi Stadium supported by more than 65,000 fans which made the draw result fair and satisfactory. “Al Ain’s players showed their clear and genuine intention to win the home team to make up for their recent loss to Al Hilal in round 1 match. They did well despite missing many key players besides the fact that certain players were not part of the starting lineup if the team since a long time, besides Hamed Doumbia who is not registered in the team’s records to play in local competitions. By the end of the day, the players were highly motivated to win the opponent and fly back home with a positive result. Also, I would like to avail this opportunity to thank the head coach for creating the required balance and the optimal exploitation of the players’ capabilities.”
Responding to a question on the team’s preparations for the coming matches, he stated: “As per the pre-set program developed by the coaching staff, the team’s stars are granted a 5-day leave to resume their training sessions in preparation for the coming matches. Also, it is scheduled that injured players will continue their morning and evening rehabilitation and remedial programs and sessions at the Club’s clinic and the gym hall in Khalifa Stadium.”
