Super Cup Technical Meeting Reviews Technical Preparations

In preparation for the Arabian Gulf Super Cup that will see Al Ain and Al Wahda go head to head on the 25th of August at Al Salam Stadium in the Egyptian capital Cairo, the Pro League Committee held today the technical meeting for the match.

The meeting was chaired by PLC CEO Waleed Al Hosani and attended by representatives of both clubs and working teams of various PLC departments.

The logistical preparations for the two teams were reviewed, as well as the technical, media and organizational plans. Al Wahda delegation will depart from Abu Dhabi airport at 16:55 on Wednesday the 22th of August, while Al Ain will leave at 00:55 the next day from Abu Dhabi airport.

In terms of technical preparations, Al Ain will occupy the left side of the podium as Arabian Gulf League champions while Al Wahda will go on the right, as per the competition’s regulations.
The official training sessions for both teams will take place at the match stadium on the 24th of August and will last for a full hour for each team. Al Wahda will train at 18:30 while Al Ain will start their session at 19:45. The training sessions will be closed, apart from the first 15 minutes which will be dedicated to media outlets.

Al Ain will be wearing the full purple kit, while Al Wahda will be in their white kits. The match will be decided by penalty shootouts should the 90 minutes end in a draw.

Furthermore, the PLC announced that all tier 2 and tier 3 tickets, numbering around 8,000 for each team, will be made available for fans in support for the two clubs and in an effort to produce a successful event that befits the name of the UAE which always aims to deliver the highest standard of events.
