The Boss accomplished their mission with excellence at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium beating the home team, Al Jazira, 3-0 in the round 3 match of Group A of the Arabian Gulf Cup (AGC). Group A includes Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, Al Nasr, Al Dhafra, Khor Fakkan, and Kalba.

The “Boss” ended the first half of the game taking the lead by 1-0 scored by Caio Canedo at “39”. In the second half, Caio boosted the result to be 2-0 when he scored from a perfect header at “48”. Al Ain goalkeeper Mohammed Saeed Bu Senda succeeded to save his den when he palmed off Abdullah Ramadan ball from the penalty point at “65”. In the dying minutes of the match, Jamal Marouf scored his team’s third goal at “90 +4”.

The win takes Al Ain to Group A’s second spot with four points. Meanwhile, Al Jazira occupies the fifth position with three points

Al Ain started on the front foot, when Abderrahmane Meziane went inside the box, however, his strong right-footed shot was stopped by Salam Khairi in the fourth minute.
Al Ain continued to dominate the field and exerted constant pressure over the home team from the depth and flanks but in vain. This forced the home team to retreat and adopt a defensive style of playing to mitigate the risks imposed by Al Ain front line while organizing counterattacks through long passes to reach Al Ain back area.

The Boss maintained position, and in the 39th minute, Andrija Radovanovic was awarded a freekick in a dangerous zone. Canedo broke the deadlock for his side as he found the back of the empty net after the Serbian’s initial freekick strike hit the woodwork. By this result, the first half ended.

Al Ain showed great desire with the start of the second half to boost the result by scoring a second goal. Canedo continued to impress as he doubled his tally just three minutes after the restart “48”. Al Ain’s new signing finished Meziane’s well-placed cross with a smart diving header.

At the 58th minute of the match, Al Jazira wasted another glorious chance to reduce the deficit when they were awarded a penalty kick after Mohamed Bu Senda’s challenge on Saleh Nasser. The goalkeeper denied Abdalla Ramadan’s effort from the spot to maintain their two-goal lead.

Jamal Marouf sealed the victory for the Boss in the dying moments of the game. Omar Yasin received a long through pass behind Al Jazira’s defense and squared the ball towards the striker, who was left with a simple tap in from a close range “90+4”.
